2010 Homes Tour Summary:
The June 6th 2010 CFUW/Orillia Annual Homes Tour to provide scholarship for area students was another sellout. Five local home owners invited the public in to view their homes which highlighted a variety of architectural styles, lovely gardens and the personal touches that make a house a home.

Each home is unique and has a story to tell. CFUW appreciates the privilege to showcase the lovely homes in our community. Refreshments were served at Couchiching Inn by 2009 scholarship recipients. The scholarships are awarded to young women who are planning to continue their education at the college/university level. Students must meet the criteria of academic ability, integrity, love of learning, leadership, and school and community involvement. This year $11,000 dollars resulting in 22 scholarships, will be awarded at June Commencements in Orillia.

CFUW thanks all of our gracious home owners, our corporate sponsors and our guests who support this worthwhile endeavor each year by purchasing a passport.

As well, the Homes Tour Committee wishes to thank Best Western Couchiching Inn for the venue, Josephine Manna, broker of record/owner, Royal LePage for sponsoring the tea and the following florists for the stunning floral designs that enhanced each home: Flowers by June, Full of Blooms, Street's Flower Shop, House of Wonders, Sandy's Flowers, and Evans Flowers. Also thanks to these businesses or individuals who provided prizes for our raffle: Marlene Bulas, Michelle's Elegance & Day Spa, Signature Interiors, Bayview Wildwood Resort, and Hawk Ridge Golf Club.

Businesses and individuals who assisted in ticket sales: Hudson's Kitchen and Homewares, Mariposa Seasons Shop, Manticore Books, Settings, KICX 106 FM, Elite Awards & Gifts, Beauty Supply Outlet, and WJ. Shaw Jewellery Ltd. Thanks also goes to past scholarship winners and Patrick Fogarty students who assisted at the Tea, and the Packet and Times for publicity.

If anyone is interested in offering their home as a part of a future CFUW Homes Tour, please contact us at cfuworillia@Gmail.com.
