2008 Homes Tour Summary:
The Canadian Federation of University Women/Orillia Homes Tour and ProgressiveTea, held on June 7, was a huge success for scholarship fundraising. The combination of beautiful and unique homes, enthusiastic participants, tasty refreshments and summery weather made this annual event memorable. The club is pleased to announce that over $7500 was raised from the tour and that this money is used solely for scholarships.
This June, nineteen scholarships will be presented to young women graduating from the four Orillia secondary schools at their graduation ceremonies. These deserving students met CFUW/Orillia criteria of Academic Ability, Integrity, Love of Learning, Leadership and School and Community Involvement. The club wishes to sincerely thank the all of the homeowners.
