With an Indigenous mother and a father who is both non-Indigenous and a retired law enforcement officer, Inspector Brooke McRoberts has spent a long time understanding who she is, where she came from and where she is going. While it hasn’t always been easy to balance her profession with her culture and experiences as an Indigenous woman, she remains undeterred in her mission to help guide the OPP on a path towards truth and reconciliation. Brooke will share about her journey in policing and what inspires her to continue this important work within the justice system.
