Another successful Homes for Scholarships Tour- complete with great weather.
613 tickets were sold, raising over $39,000 for our scholarship fund which supports scholarships for young women in the Orillia area who are pursuing postsecondary education.
130 volunteers worked together to make our Homes for Scholarships Tour a huge success. Volunteers included CFUW Orillia members, husbands, sons, daughters, grandchildren, friends, and our past and present scholarship winners. The scholarship winners in the homes interacted with our guests and definitely reinforced the purpose of our Homes Tour.
This year we held a Volunteer Tour Day the day prior to the Tour – allowing our volunteers an opportunity to see all the homes, without having to rush around before or after their shift. Worked fabulously.
Our thanks to all the homeowners who graciously opened their homes for both the Tour and the Volunteer Tour Day.
