Ontario is earmarking an extra $2 billion to expand home and community care over the next three years as the population ages and employers struggle to recruit workers in a traditionally low-paid sector. What does that really mean in terms of improved access to the already struggling homecare sector? The Ontario Medical Association says Ontario is short 2500 doctors and warns of mass retirement in 5 years. What does that mean in terms of care in general?
