CFUW Orillia celebrates the end of our fiscal year with a social event at a member’s home. Each year, the responsibility for organizing the event falls to the members who joined that year.
This gathering is not only a fun celebration for all members but also a great bonding exercise for the new members. They collaborate to plan a theme and execute the agenda they’ve built together.
The theme for 2024 was Music. We were all asked to dress in black and white. We were randomly assigned into teams, and each team had to sing a song from the ’70s and play on kazoos.
While most of the new members helped orchestrate this year’s event, the co-chairs for the evening were Marci Czumrik and Etta Linton.
